K&W EQUIPMENT has complete machine shop facilities. We recently added an environmentally controlled test cell and a computerized engine dynamometer. We are capable of Dyn0-Testing engines up to and including 1200 hp. Each test result is documented on a series of easily interpreted graphs and data sheets. It is the one sure way of measuring an engines capability before putting it on the track. Torque, horsepower,  fuel and exhaust gas measurements are made and the results corrected for differences in temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. Measurements are accurate and repeatable. The Dynamometer equipment and computer interface were purchased from DTS in Palo Alto, California DTS Dynamometers. K&W Equipment brings 40 years of machine shop experience and a lifetime of racing and performance engine building to the program. The owner-operator of K&W Equipment, George Kingshott, was a National Record Holder in AA/GD and a United Dragboat Association-River Racer Hydro National Champion. His interest in performance remains today. If you are serious and want to optimize your engine, the Dynamometer is your benchmark. Marine, Sprint, and IMCA type Chevrolet engines are our specialty. Marine work includes gas and diesel as well as propeller and shaft repairs and balancing. Atomic 4 engines can be rebuilt and tested and mdifiied as requested.
